Hozier is an amazingly talented Irish musician that draws his inspiration from Folk, Soul and Blues, he also often uses Literary and religious themes in his songwriting as well. He started playing around with songwriting at the age of 15 and started teaching himself how to play the guitar, since then his music career has just been on a rise. He has a unique voice that enchants you.

He started playing for open mic nights and cot himself a few gigs, including, Oxegen 2009 and 2010 festivals, as well as singing backup for Billy Ocean in 2012. His Debut album released in 2013 and instantly became a rock radio hit and went on to peak in the number two position on the billboard hot 100 charts. He wrote this song in between playing open mic nights in Dublin and ended up naming the song “Take Me To Church”. This song now sits at just under three billion streams! The Music Video for “Thake me to Church” was filmed on a shoestrings budget and was filmed entirely in black and white and became a viral video. Hozier then went on to release the album “Hozier” in 2014 and the daily telegraph noted that it was ‘an intense, youthful lyrical tangling of religion and romantic obsession that regularly finds him poised between love and abuse’ this really shows how much effort and thought he puts into writing the songs and then the heart and soul he puts into performing the songs is unmatched. 

“Unreal Earth” was released in late 2023 and this album shows Hoziers relationship with the Irish language, which is evident in the lyrics and themes. He then went on to release “Unheard” in 2024 which includes songs like “Too Sweet” which is going on one and a half billion streams on Spotify alone!
