Old Dominion emerged in 2007 from Nashville, Tennessee. The band has consistently performed in local circles and has become a hometown favorite. Eventually, Old Dominion started touring and amassing a loyal following. Upon the release of their debut album, Meat, and Candy, the band found chart success. The album, which spawned hits like “Break Up With Him,” “Song For Another Time, “ and “Snapback,” performed phenomenally in the U.S. It peaked at number 3 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums and debuted at number 16 on the Billboard 200. Meat and Candy sold more than one million copies, earning Old Dominion its first platinum certification.
In 2017, during their tenth anniversary as a band, Old Dominion dropped their sophomore effort, Happy Endings. The album topped the Country chart and peaked at number 7 on the Billboard 200. Selling more than 500,000 copies in the U.S., Happy Endings eventually earned a gold certification. They featured critically-acclaimed number 1 singles, “No Such Thing as a Broken Heart,” “Hotel Key,” and “Written in the Sand.”
Two years later, Old Dominion dropped their self-titled third album, which also topped the country charts. On the Billboard 200, the album soared to number 9. It spawned the gold-certified hit “Make It Sweet” and the platinum-selling single “One Man Band. Both songs topped the U.S. Country Airplay chart, earning the band six consecutive number 1 singles.
